Naiad Irrigation is a prototype that combines blockchain

water consumption in agriculture, with a focus on irrigation

Smart sensors and IoT devices collect real-time data on soil moisture and crop needs, which is then recorded on the blockchain. Smart contracts facilitate automated water allocation and distribution based on predefined criteria. Farmers can trade water rights and surplus water on decentralized platforms, promoting efficient water utilization.
Transparent and tamper-proof records on the blockchain enable regulators to monitor water usage and enforce water-saving regulations effectively.
